What is VE Day?

VE Day, or Victory in Europe Day, is celebrated on the 8th of May to celebrate the day towards the end of the Second World War when the fighting against Nazi Germany in Europe came to an end. It continues to be celebrated in a variety of ways, such as street parties with red, white and blue themes
